Information we collect
When you make or manage a reservation, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, stay dates, room choice, number of guests, special requests, booking reference, and communications with the hotel.
For online payments, we retain transaction references, payment status, amount, currency, payment channel, provider transaction identifier, and relevant timestamps. Card numbers, PINs, CVVs, and bank authentication details are entered on Paystack's secure payment pages and are not stored by Five Homes.
Our systems may also record necessary technical information such as IP address, browser details, security events, and server logs when you use the website.
How and why we use your information
We use personal information to create and administer reservations, process and verify payments, communicate booking decisions, provide receipts, handle cancellations and refunds, respond to enquiries, prevent fraud, secure the service, keep appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations.
Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate business and security interests, or your consent. We do not sell guest personal information.
Retention and security
We keep booking, payment, refund, and communication records only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy accounting or legal requirements. Security logs and unsuccessful booking data are reviewed and removed when no longer required.
We use access controls, role-based staff permissions, encrypted connections, restricted infrastructure, backups, payment verification, and audit records to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we continually review these safeguards.
Your privacy rights
